Each fall, SBAM hosts a legislative luncheon exclusively for our VIP members. Last week, we welcomed two members of Congress, Representative Tim Walberg and Representative Elissa Slotkin, for a discussion on small business issues with moderator Brian Calley.
Representatives Walberg and Slotkin spent nearly an hour with SBAM members and discussed a variety of pertinent topics, including USMCA, cybersecurity, immigration and healthcare. They were both passionate about the bipartisan work being done within the Michigan congressional delegation when it comes to the Great Lakes Initiative and work at the Soo Locks.
This was an excellent opportunity for VIP members to get quality time with other VIP members, and with two members of Congress. And, it was a fantastic opportunity for our elected officials to hear directly from small-business owner constituents who asked thoughtful, probing questions about issues that deeply impact their work.
SBAM is proud to offer events like this exclusively for our VIP members.
