Saturday, November 25, 2023 is Small Business Saturday – a day to show our support for small businesses and the impact they have on our communities.
Founded by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday has become an important part of the holiday shopping season for many small businesses. Last year, according to the 2022 Consumer Insights Survey commissioned by American Express, an estimated $17.9 billion was spent by U.S. consumers who shopped and dined at small businesses.
Shopping at a small business helps bolster the local economy. Out of $100 spent locally* at a small business, an average of $68 will stay in that community; comparatively $100 spent at a big-box store only garners about $43 locally.
SBAM encourages small businesses to utilize free marketing materials to promote your business on Small Business Saturday. Consumers?
