Three hundred sixty businesses joined SBAM last week. Included in this total are 322 members of the Michigan Association of Timberman, SBAM’s newest Strategic Partner.
“SBAM is thrilled with our continuing strong membership growth and we’re proud to include the Michigan Association of Timbermen in our ranks,” said SBAM President & CEO Rob Fowler. “These 360 new businesses are now connected to a wealth of resources designed to help grow their companies.”
Also last week, SBAM partnered with Crain’s Detroit Business to present a successful “Grow Your Business” workshop focused on Economic Gardening. A keynote address and panel discussion gave those in attendance a greater understanding of how Michigan small businesses can access economic gardening tactics to grow their companies.
The event coincided with SBAM’s release of its 2012 Entrepreneurship Score Card, which showed a dramatic jump from 45th in 2010 to 15th in 2011 in Michigan’s entrepreneurial climate. You can download the Score Card here.
