Committed and involved volunteers are key to the success of a southeast Michigan non-profit that assists families of kids who have lost parents. Diane Lazette is executive director of Yatooma’s Foundation For The Kids — a VIP member of the Small Business Association of Michigan. “We do have the billboards and we do have several advertising venues that we use that are graciously donated that we do not have to pay for, which makes it very nice for the Foundation. But we keep our board involved, they are very hands-on not only referring people, but also their influence in the community, their time and obviously their generosity.” she says.
