Workplace changes have inspired a renewed focus on benefits and perks. You may be wondering what other employee benefits are there other than health care, dental, vision, sick days, paid time off, and 401(k) contributions. Many businesses choose to offer additional company perks to set themselves apart. It is proven to improve employee engagement and attract and retain workers.
Companies are offering remote-based opportunities, flexible schedules, unlimited PTO, professional upskilling, extended parental leave, tuition assistance, student loan reimbursement, employee resource groups, corporate social responsibility initiatives, childcare, wellness programs, and even online classes for the entire family of employees.
There are even reward platforms that can increase the ROI of your benefits and perks programs.
ASE has several on-demand webinars available to watch on options for voluntary perks. They can be found here.

There are also programs to help with mental health and wellness. The Stay Well program is administered by behavioral health professionals at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) in partnership with the Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) and Gryphon Place. It provides mental health support services to Michigan residents struggling to cope with emotional distress from the ongoing COVID‐19 pandemic. Benefits and perks show what your company values. They are a window into your culture. A well thought out employee benefits package can help to attract and retain talent and help you differentiate your business from competitors.
