Fast-growing Legal Firm Zeros in on Helping Small Businesses Succeed
December 20, 2024
On today’s SBAM Weekly Podcast, Michael Rogers talks with Michael Cole, a member of the Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes law firm. They are VIP members of the Small Business Association of Michigan and this year were named to the list of Michigan 50 Companies to Watch for 2024. Cole discusses the firm’s growth from four lawyers in 2008 to 40 today, and its diverse practice areas, including business franchising, labor and employment, municipal law, and water resources. The firm offers comprehensive legal services for small businesses, from formation to sale, emphasizing franchising as a growth model. “The franchise model takes a lot of work,” he says. “One of the things that we like to have a discussion about during initial meetings with clients who are interested in pursuing the franchise model is whether they are ready to start a franchise business, because the business of franchising is necessarily different from the business that they’re currently operating.”
