While strong economic growth is predicted in Michigan over the coming months, sustaining and growing small businesses, which are the lifeblood of our communities, must remain a top priority. You are invited to join Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II on Wednesday, June 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (EDT) as they bring together small businesses, state and local policymakers, regional economic development leaders, banks and credit unions, business owners and community organizations for a one-day, virtual summit focused on helping small business thrive here in Michigan.
The summit will include updates and trends from key economic experts, including Gene Sperling, a Senior Advisor to President Biden and the White House American Rescue Plan coordinator. It will also engage creative conversations around how the state collectively provides meaningful programs to ensure small businesses are successful and that local entrepreneurs are supported as the economy recovers.
