October 5, 2015 – Entrepreneurs interested in knowing more about available options for raising capital and other issues important to the success of their new business should plan to attend LARA’s free seminar on October 21, at Henry Ford College in Dearborn.
The seminar, Understanding Your Options for Raising Capital in Michigan, is aimed at educating entrepreneurs and others on how to raise capital in Michigan. You will learn about legal and structural basics; key formation and other often overlooked issues; private offerings using regulation D or intrastate exemptions (504/SCOR, 504/202(1)(n) and 201(g)); Michigan intrastate crowdfunding; crafting a winning investor pitch; venture capital; long-term planning for a potential IPO; protecting yourself from arbitration, civil litigation and potential criminal liability; and much more.
The Dearborn event will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015, 8:00am to 4:00pm, at Henry Ford College Forfa Auditorium, 5101 Evergreen Road, Dearborn, MI 48128. There will be no charge for parking or admission to the seminar. A continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided.
