DTE is returning tax savings to help your bottom line

We’re in the heart of the winter heating season. It’s cold outside, your energy usage is at its peak and that means bills may be higher as well.

Fortunately, you’re about to see some relief as additional tax credit savings start appearing on your bill. 

This credit, which will run until midyear, is the result of changes to federal tax law that took effect in 2018. We’re returning 100 percent of DTE’s savings to our customers through this credit, which is based on monthly usage. 

As a result, customers will save about 3 percent on their energy bill this winter. See your savings.
