SBAM names Brown Iron Brewhouse owner its 2023 Advocate of the Year

June 21, 2023

LANSING, MI – The Small Business Association of Michigan has honored Patti Eisenbraun, owner of Brown Iron Brewhouse, as its 2023 Advocate of the Year.

“Patti’s unwavering passion for small business success and adept leadership style has been noticed by her peers over the past several years, particularly as she expertly navigated the pandemic,” said SBAM President and CEO Brian Calley. “In spite of the challenges her own business faced, she has gone above and beyond to serve as a spokesperson for small business advocacy and has a natural ability to connect and share the experience of being an entrepreneur in a way that truly resonates. Patti’s efforts over the past several years have enhanced SBAM’s effectiveness as an organization, and we are proud to name her our 2023 Advocate of the Year.”

Eisenbraun was honored for her insight and leadership that has broadened SBAM’s reach throughout Southeast Michigan, serving as an SBAM Ambassador in her region and actively recruiting new members to owner-to-owner meetings. Patti also serves on SBAM’s Board of Directors and has demonstrated a notable commitment to making sure other small businesses succeed.

“All small businesses start with a dream or an idea,” said Patti Eisenbraun. “Sometimes we get lost in managing and leading the ins and outs of business, but I want small business owners to know that they are not alone. We need every small business to succeed because they are the backbone of this country. No matter what the industry, we are all connected.”

Brown Iron Brewhouse is a beer-centric smokehouse specializing in Michigan craft beers and fresh smoked BBQ, with locations in Royal Oak and Washington Township. It was named Michigan’s Best Craft Beer Bar in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

The Advocate of the Year award was presented to Eisenbraun on Thursday, June 15 during SBAM’s annual meeting, which was held in Lansing.
