Jodi Schafer is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) and the owner of Human Resource Management Services. Jodi has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from Kalamazoo College and 20 years of experience in human resource management. She was recognized as one of the ’10 Over the Next Ten’ in the next generation of business leaders by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, and accepted the MSAE Association Choice award on behalf of HRM for the consulting services category.

Join our President & CEO Brian Calley for a quick rundown of legislative items impacting small businesses alongside SBAM Board of Director Mark Ware.  Brian will go over problematic legislation facing our membership including:  independent contractors, pay transparency and predictive scheduling.  Mark will join Brian to discuss the Unemployment Insurance Task Force report and how SBAM is playing a key role in informing the Unemployment Insurance Agency on how to better work with employers to improve customer service.
