Our SBSH Grant Program is designed to provide support for established 1st stage and 2nd stage businesses who have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The SBSH Grant Program provides free programming, courses, events, and support designed to help your business recover from the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and help you achieve the success you seek for your business.
Qualifying as a Participant in the SBSH Grant Program is relatively easy. You do not need to be a member of the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) or any organization to qualify. Simply tell us a little about your business and we will handle the rest. You will NOT be asked to submit such personal information as business financial reports, personal financial statements, or previous years’ tax returns. Once you complete the application the SBAM Foundation team will review your application and determine if you qualify to participate.

In short, the process of obtaining a direct grant starts with the SBSH Grant Program Application.
Direct Grant Process
To be eligible for an opportunity to apply for a direct grant of up to $5,000, Participants must accumulate a minimum composite score of six, which will be determined based on the point values assigned to each program, course, or event in which they engage. The points assigned to each program, course, or event reflect the complexity of the subject matter and the time commitment required. During the review process for direct grant applications, participants with higher point values may be given priority consideration.
